This page explains how to ask Bongo Nyumbani Innovation to delete your account and the personal
information held with it, what gets deleted, and what we have to keep.
How to request deletion
Accounts are created by Bongo Nyumbani Innovation when a tracking device is fitted, so deletion is
handled by us rather than from inside the app. To request it:
- Contact us using any of the details at the bottom of this page.
- Say that you want your account deleted, and give the name and phone
number the account was registered with so we can identify it.
- We will confirm your identity as the account holder before deleting anything.
We action verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your login and password.
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your notification and alert settings.
- Photos and documents you uploaded.
- Your sign-in and activity records, once they are no longer needed for security.
What is kept, and for how long
- Vehicle location and telemetry history belongs to the
subscriber who owns the vehicle, not to an individual login. If you are one of
several users on a company account, deleting your login does not delete the
company's vehicle records. If you are the subscriber, this history is deleted
with your account.
- Billing and payment records are kept for the period required
by Tanzanian tax and accounting law, then deleted.
Deleting your account ends your access to the service. If you have an active
subscription, tell us whether you also want it cancelled.
